our approach

01.

Never outworked

There are elements of the game you can’t control. You can’t change your height or your opponent. There is only one thing you can control and it’s the only thing that matters; the work you put in. Darting Basketball Academy players are taught early the value of hard work.

Our training teaches the foundational movements and techniques mastered by elite players. Our staff has played at the highest levels and trained the nation’s best players. We cater programs to each player’s abilities and areas for improvement. Darting Basketball Academy takes players beyond their potential and into greatness.

02.

Point 6

Each hour at our training academy accounts for .6% of your week. You will learn the skills to transform your game. Then we will teach you the work ethic required to be elite. What you do with the remaining 99.4% of your time will determine the player you become.

Robbie Sanders

Skills Trainer

Robbie is heavily invested in the game of basketball in the Topeka community. Robbie has realized success as both a player and coach. While playing at Topeka High, he was an all-city and all-state selection. He then went on to play at Independence Community College and Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Robbie is entering his 11th year as an assistant coach at Topeka High. He has great knowledge of the game and pays special attention to the details while teaching the fundamentals.

Layne Nash

Skills Trainer

Layne’s involvement in basketball began at a very young age. Layne became a “gym rat” at the age of five. Playing rec, AAU, and MAYB ball for years, he sealed his love for the game. As a starting point guard for Shawnee Heights for three years, Layne was an All-City and All-League selection. Layne was a walk-on at Washburn University his freshman year and decided after one year, this would be the completion of his college playing career. Layne is very focused on the big picture of basketball. His “court sense” is evident when teaching basketball skills and offense/defense. His personal drive to be healthy, strong, and fit is reflected in the work ethic he demands of the students he teaches. Layne’s vast knowledge, passion for the game, and easy-going character attribute to his desire to teach and share his own experiences with the young athletes he works with at Darting Basketball Academy.

Travis Hamilton

Performance Enhancement Trainer

Travis has had the opportunity to work under many well-respected performance enhancement coaches including current University of Minnesota head strength and conditioning coach Eric Klein. He was also the head strength and conditioning coach for Southwestern College’s football team. For the past 3 years, Travis has been training athletes at ALL DAY EVERYDAY fitness.
